Director of Education Nursing & Clinical Development Full Time Southern California
Salary - USD $135,000 to $192,000

Reporting directly to a highly regarded Chief Nursing Officer, the Director of Education will shape clinical learning, leadership development, and organizational performance. This is an opportunity to build and sustain programs that elevate quality, support nursing practice, and foster a culture where staff can grow, learn, and excel.
Position summary The Director of Education provides strategic leadership and hands on oversight for nursing education and organization wide clinical development programs. The role drives evidence based practice, supports regulatory readiness, and promotes innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning across the hospital.
Key responsibilities Design, implement, and evaluate nursing and interprofessional education, orientation, and professional development programs.
Mentor and develop leaders and educators across departments, fostering growth, collaboration, and accountability.
Serve as a change agent, leading initiatives that improve organizational performance, clinical outcomes, and patient safety.
Promote interdisciplinary collaboration and teamwork through unit based and hospital wide practice and education models.
Ensure continuous readiness for regulatory and accreditation surveys, aligning education with standards and best practices.
Use data and feedback to assess educational needs, measure program effectiveness, and refine learning strategies.
Cultivate a culture of learning, innovation, and professional excellence across the nursing and clinical workforce.
Qualifications Minimum 5 years of acute care RN experience.
At least 3 years of nursing management/leadership experience in an acute care setting.
Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and evaluating clinical education programs.
Bachelor s degree required;
Master s degree in nursing, education, or related field preferred.
Current California RN license and BLS certification.
Advanced national certification and ACLS preferred.
Proven ability to work as a collaborative team player in a fast paced, mission driven environment.
