You will be the U-2 Technical Publications Writer
- Level 2 for the Technical Publications Team which is responsible for authoring maintenance instructions for a complex aircraft. What You Will Be Doing As the U-2 Technical Publications Writer
- Level 2 you will be responsible for authoring maintenance instructions for a complex aircraft and ensuring technical accuracy. Your responsibilities will include:
* Develop and deliver technically accurate maintenance documentation both independently and with a team.
* Verify and certify publication content to meet corrective measures and compliance requirements.
* Collaborate with engineering and customer support representatives to gather needed data.
* Translate engineering technical data into clear maintenance instructions.

Who You Are You are a collaborative technical writer with strong analytical skills, experienced in aerospace maintenance documentation.

Your attention to detail ensures compliance and safety, and you are ready to contribute to mission-critical programs. Further Information About This Opportunity MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.

Basic Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience and knowledge of aircraft operation and maintenance.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, commercial technical manuals, technical drawings, and/or schematics
• Experience with markup language authoring (Knowledgeable in element and attribute XML tagging for S1000D-compliant interactive electronic publications) Desired

Skills:

• Exceptional attention to detail
• Previous aircraft maintenance background
• Familiar with the Tech Order system and/or experience with Technical Publications software
• Experience evaluating technical order changes
• Ability to travel as needed
• Bachelors degree from accredited college in related field preferred Security Clearance Statement:

The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $63,800 - $112,470.
