Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems (NGAS) is looking for a Manager Supply Chain 1 for multiple programs located onsite in the Palmdale, CA facility. This is for our Second Shift - Monday to Thursday.

Responsibilities include:

  • Plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules and coordinates with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements

  • Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed

  • Schedules equipment and personnel, confirms material supply and demands, prepares work orders or purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts based on a master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirements

  • Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, etc.; schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders

  • Responsible for the direct supervision/management of the staff

  • Responsible for providing objective-oriented direction to subordinates utilizing management guidelines & general policies

  • Candidate must have strong communication skills, and orientated for teamwork and objective results

  • Must have a proactive attitude and ability to work under pressured environment

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with at least 4 years of experience in supply chain management, project management OR a Master’s Degree with at least 2 years of experience in supply chain management, project management OR High School Diploma/Equivalent with at least 8 years of experience in supply chain management, project management

  • Must have 3 years warehousing experience

  • Must have a minimum of 2 years experience leading a team, process, and/or projects

  • Must have Inventory Control or SAP experience

  • At minimum, an active DoD Secret level clearance is required to apply and to start the role, with the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the Company to meet its business needs
