You will be the Items Analyst
- Level 2 for the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics which is responsible for supporting global military operations through superior sustainment performance.
As the Items Analyst
- Level 2 you will be responsible for ensuring timely availability of materials that keep aircraft mission‑ready. You will collaborate across functional teams to forecast demand, manage inventory, and implement improvements that enhance fleet availability.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to guarantee material availability for aircraft maintenance.
- Analyze supply and demand data to forecast requirements and mitigate potential shortages.
- Coordinate with procurement, logistics, engineering, and operations to resolve supply‑chain constraints.
- Develop and execute strategies that optimize performance, reduce costs, and improve fleet readiness.
- Track material flow and performance metrics to support timely execution of logistics plans.
- Leverage data analytics and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement in supply chain operations.
- Support the implementation of innovative technologies and tools that enhance supply planning and inventory visibility.
- Contribute to the development of process documentation, training materials, and reporting tools to support operational excellence.

You are an analytical and collaborative professional who thrives in a fast‑paced aerospace environment. You bring a solid foundation in logistics, inventory management, and supply planning, and you are eager to apply data‑driven insights to improve mission success. Your proactive mindset, attention to detail, and commitment to continuous improvement make you an ideal fit for this early‑career role.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Engineering, Economics, Supply Chain, Logistics, Data Analytics, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous experience with Microsoft Office applications, specifically MS Excel utilizing pivot tables and other Excel related functions.
- Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance; this position is located at a facility that requires special access.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with a keen eye for detail and an ability to think critically in a high tempo customer‑centered environment.
- Experience with data tools or programming languages such as Tableau, SQL, Python, etc., including applied knowledge of MS Excel and data analytical skills and proven and demonstrated functionality.
- Experience with stakeholder/customer relationship management.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders.
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
