Production Operations Sr Mgr - Fab, Assy and Tooling - Level 6

As a Senior Manager of Fabrication and Tooling you will be responsible for:

• Utilizing in-depth knowledge of fabrication, assembly and tool manufacturing processes/techniques
• Managing the day‑to‑day operation of assigned groups for quality, schedule and cost performance
• Implementing continuous improvement using Lean and 6S techniques
• Maintaining the general appearance and condition of equipment/facilities assigned to the team
• Preparing and coordinating program plans, quotes, proposals, schedules and budgets
• Implementing work measurement on production programs including standards and EVMS
• Developing the team through leadership development, technical training, and talent cultivation

Location:

Palmdale, CA. The role requires Secret Clearance (interim clearance acceptable).

Flexible work schedules and a comprehensive benefits package are offered onsite at the Lockheed Martin facility.

Pay range in California, Massachusetts, New York (excluding major metros): $124,900 – $220,225 annually.
Pay range in major metropolitan areas: $143,600 – $248,975 annually. The final offer reflects work location and market considerations.

• Experience working in a Production Operations and/or Manufacturing environment
• Intimate knowledge of aerospace fabrication techniques and processes
• Experience in composite fabrication and assembly

• 9+ years of demonstrated leadership experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills for collaboration, communication, presentation, and customer interface
• Ability to manage, coach, train and motivate a technical and leadership team
• Experience implementing LEAN and 6S techniques
• Strategic thinking and alignment of technology strategy with product realization

This position requires a government security clearance. You must be a U.S. citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: Secret.
