Manufacturing Analyst​/Manufacturing Planner

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Manufacturing Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be in Palmdale, CA, where technology and teamwork come together.

The Associate Manufacturing Analyst/ Manufacturing Analyst job duties involve supporting production, business, and other processes in a team-based manufacturing environment. The incumbent may facilitate self‑directed work teams, provide training in core skill areas, and interact with internal and external customers concerning product planning, problem resolution, and process improvement. Incumbents are generally experienced in one or more areas of manufacturing operations.

• Track daily costs
• Administer earned‑value management (EVM) activities
• Maintain visibility charts
• Provide weekly and monthly status reports
• Close and document tool orders for PMC assembly tooling
• Oversee validation of incoming materials against the bill of material
• Develop internal tooling packages
• Liaise with support organizations to negotiate schedules with Production, Manufacturing, and Industrial Engineering
• Order and record chemical usage
• Ensure proper inventory within the NGC Chemical Tracking system
• Manage tool control and accountability activities, including daily inventory, audits, property, and asset management
• Handle other manufacturing and assembly tooling‑related duties as required
• Perform technical administrative tasks, including certification compliance, staff meetings, team engagement support, onboarding, travel support, and safety focal tasks

• Manufacturing Methods – Knowledge of manufacturing, methods, and fabrication processes (e.g., forming, stamping, machining, heat treatment, machine tools, cutting tools and fluids, N/C programming, instrumentation, data acquisition, and control systems). Ability to select the best method for producing parts, tools, or assemblies and a verifiable performance record in assembly line operation.
• Project Management – Successful project management and leadership experience. Coordinate design and fabrication requirements for tools and fixtures with internal and external customers.

• High school diploma or GED (minimum education)
• Bachelor's degree with 3 years of experience, Master’s degree with 1 year of experience, or 7 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance.
• Ability to work any shift.
• Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Suite capabilities (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Highly detail‑oriented, organized, proactive, and a skilled communicator.
