  • Ability to lift 25–35 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Basic understanding of safety procedures, PPE requirements, and shop protocols.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience applying insulation materials such as fiberglass, ceramic, silicone sleeves, foil, or adhesives.
  • Familiarity with aerospace customer specifications.
  • Understanding of documentation processes, travelers, and traceability requirements.
  • Knowledge of adhesives, curing times, and proper handling of insulation materials.
  • Ability to work within ITAR‑regulated environments and manufacturing quality systems.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform accurate part marking using methods such as ink stamps, labels, stencils, dot‑peen, or etching equipment according to drawings and specifications.
  • Verify all part numbers, serial numbers, revisions, and heat/batch details for accuracy and compliance.
  • Apply insulation materials to bent tubes and assemblies using approved cutting, wrapping, bonding, sewing, or heat‑shrink methods.
  • Interpret insulation drawings, guides, and production packets to ensure correct placement, thickness, coverage, and fit.
  • Measure, cut, and prepare insulation materials using templates, patterns, or basic hand tools.
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation on travelers and production records.
  • Collaborate with Quality and Engineering to resolve discrepancies, nonconformances, or specification questions.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and ensure proper PPE usage, especially when handling fiberglass or adhesives.
  • Operate shop equipment and tools safely while following all company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Support general production needs and assist with related tasks as required to meet schedule demands.

The role requires the ability to read technical drawings, use measuring tools, and work with both delicate and durable materials. Strong attention to detail ensures accuracy in traceability and consistency in insulation quality. Physical stamina and dexterity are essential for working in a production environment and handling various materials and tools.

Preferred skills such as prior aerospace experience, knowledge of adhesives, and familiarity with part‑marking equipment enhance efficiency and support high‑quality workmanship. Comfort with documentation and production records ensures accurate traceability throughout the manufacturing process.
