The ADP team is looking for a Stf Fabrication Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Palmdale, CA!
Responsibilities- Lead small teams to ensure production needs are met and discrete deliverables are completed ahead of need.
- Conduct critical design reviews and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure alignment with manufacturing processes.
- Develop assembly plans and innovative solutions to address daily challenges, ensuring efficient production flow.
- Create and maintain detailed manufacturing products and documentation.
- Provide direct support on the production floor, troubleshooting issues and implementing solutions.
- Utilize Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to develop manufacturing processes.
- Interpret drawings and model‑based designs, translating them into actionable steps for manufacturability in the production environment.
- Collaborate with team members to explore out‑of‑the‑box thinking and contribute to product improvement initiatives.
- Experience in a manufacturing shop floor environment working cross functionally with other disciplines including design engineering and systems engineering, build team, planning, scheduling, Quality Assurance.
- Experience with Composite Fabrication including layup, bonding, and machining.
- Experience with engineering blueprints and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM field with 7+ years of work experience.
- Understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM).
- Experience supporting various projects and coordinating activities related to the full life cycle of projects from conception to delivery.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with team members including Operations, Production Control, Quality Assurance, IT, Planning, and Engineering.
- Proven ability to drive issues to closure and develop preventative action plans to limit failures in the future.
- Ability to solve logistical issues and lead efforts to drive mission success.
- Experience working with suppliers in an aircraft modification and manufacturing environment.
- Secret Clearance with an investigation within the last 5 years – required to apply and required to obtain and maintain special program access prior to start.
- Special Program Access.
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a U.S. citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret.
