Do you want to be part of a legacy of innovation that pushes the boundaries of what's possible? At Lockheed Martin Skunk Works®, we're seeking talented individuals ready to tackle the most advanced projects in aerospace. As an Aircraft Material Applicator, you'll be part of a high-performing team supporting classified aircraft programs that help shape the future of defense technology. What You Will Be Doing:
In this hands-on role, you'll perform a range of material application techniques including spray, wipe, brush, dip, and heat-activated processes on aircraft parts, assemblies, and finished aircraft. You'll interpret blueprints and engineering documents to determine appropriate surface preparations, application techniques, and masking requirements.

• Prepare and treat aircraft surfaces using sanding, masking, stripping, and cleaning procedures

• Apply adhesives, aerodynamic fillers, sealants, and coatings with precision—often requiring strict adherence to blueprint tolerances and specifications

• Operate robotic and manual equipment for applying surface materials, including programming and monitoring robotic systems

• Mix and test materials, including checking expiration dates, viscosity, and proper ratios

• Use precision measuring tools and shop math to confirm correct thickness and tolerances

• Perform touch-ups, rework, and modifications as needed

• Place parts and assemblies in curing ovens, monitor drying conditions, and operate support equipment like ladders, safety lights, and ventilation systems

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to all safety standards
