As an Aircraft Systems Mechanic Level 2 or 3 at the Palmdale, CA site, you will support the Manufacturing Operations Organization with hands‑on tasks that require attention to detail, quality focus, and strong people skills.

Essential Functions
  • Read and interpret blueprints
  • Assemble and install hydraulic systems
  • Diagnose malfunctions
  • Perform maintenance, disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, re‑assembly, or adjustment of aircraft systems in accordance with technical specifications and engineering instructions
  • Obtain half‑ and full‑face respirator certification
  • Use daily manufacturing shop controls and systems
  • Use appropriate PPE on the shop floor
  • Recommend and implement continuous improvement activities in production methods, equipment performance, and team effectiveness
Basic Qualifications – Aircraft Mechanic 2
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with hydraulic parts, assemblies, and systems in aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing, or maintenance environments
  • Must perform moderate strenuous physical work that includes bending, stooping, kneeling, standing, walking, squatting, crawling, twisting, carrying tools, lifting to 35 pounds, and working with arms overhead
  • Must access small, confined spaces and work in an enclosed environment
  • Pass medical/respiratory evaluation to obtain and maintain respirator clearance and meet respirator fitting requirements
  • Pass a New Hire Physical before starting
  • Work either 5 AM–3:30 PM or 4:12 PM–2:42 AM, or any other work schedule
  • Obtain and maintain a Government Secret or Top‑Secret clearance and Program Special access within a reasonable period; U.S. citizenship required for clearance
  • Use a computer for basic functions, including Windows operating systems and online training modules
  • Pass ASTAR New Hire Training/Compliance within a reasonable period
Basic Qualifications – Aircraft Mechanic 3
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with hydraulic parts, assemblies, and systems in aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing, or maintenance environments
  • Same physical and confined‑space requirements as Mechanic 2
  • Pass medical/respiratory evaluation to obtain and maintain respirator clearance and meet respirator fitting requirements
  • Pass a New Hire Physical before starting
  • Work either 5 AM–3:30 PM or 4:12 PM–2:42 AM, or any other work schedule
  • Obtain and maintain a Government Secret or Top‑Secret clearance and Program Special access; U.S. citizenship required for clearance

Preferred Qualifications
  • Plumbing or pipe‑fitting experience
  • HVAC experience
  • Car, bus, train, or military mechanic experience
  • Completion of an A&P certificate program
  • Active Government Secret clearance with background investigation completed within the last six years
Salary and Benefits

Primary Level Salary Range: $56,000.00 – $93,400.00.

Secondary Level Salary Range: $66,600.00 – $.

Base salary may incorporate factors such as scope and responsibilities, candidate experience, education, skills, and market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonus, and long‑term incentives for certain positions. We provide health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a savings plan, company‑paid holidays, and paid time off for vacation and personal business.
