As a key member of the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Digital Transformation organization, the Solution Train Engineer will be a Servant Leader and Coach for the Saber Solution Train, facilitating and guiding the work of all ARTs and Suppliers in the digital thread ecosystem.

This highly visible role will coordinate, facilitate, and help to guide the constituent Agile Release Trains (ARTs), IT Systems, and organizations toward productive outcomes. The Solution Train Engineer (STE) possesses a systems view of the entire development and delivery process. Working in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment, the Solution Train Engineer will have the following responsibilities:

• Facilitates and guides the work of all ARTs and Suppliers in the Value Stream
• Lead and coordinate the large solution delivery PI cadence
• Act as a Lean-Agile Leader to the train and often as a Coach to others within the Solution Train and ARTs regarding Lean and Agile practices.
• Be a relationship builder, establishing vital connections within and outside the Solution Train to help the portfolio operate as a collaborative, adaptive network
• Facilitate synchronization across the Solution Train coordinating or hosting regular syncs to keep the Solution Train on track.

Desired skills:

• Certified in SAFe a plus
• Experience as a Solution Train Engineer, Release Train Engineer, Solution Train Manager, or Product Owner/Product Manager desired
• Experience leading complex IT Systems Integration efforts
• Business Process Reengineering experience desired
• Experience managing across organizational boundaries
• Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Systems, Manufacturing Engineering Systems (MES), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System Platform a plus
• Experience working with Siemens Xceleratoror and other Siemens Manufacturing systems a plus
• Strong Program Management Skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate effectively to executives as well as to teams and individual contributors
