Lead CNC Swiss Turning Setup Supervisor Step into a day where precision meets leadership. At Lusk Quality—recognized for high-volume precision turning—you’ll guide a talented crew of Swiss machine operators from first part approval to final inspection. Your morning starts with reviewing work orders and blueprints, mapping out priorities, and aligning cycle times with customer deadlines. You’ll coach operators at the machines, set up Swiss-type equipment, dial in tooling and offsets, and verify first-piece quality using micrometers and calipers.

As production runs, you’ll keep an eye on quality and throughput, adjusting parameters to stay within spec and on schedule. When challenges appear, you’ll troubleshoot root causes and implement cost-effective, time-efficient fixes. You’ll uphold company policies and safety practices, keep the work cell running smoothly, and share feedback that strengthens skills and teamwork. Before shift-end, you’ll perform routine machine maintenance and communicate status so the next run is ready.

What you’ll doLead and mentor a team of Swiss machine operators to hit cycle times, meet quality standards, and deliver to customer schedules.

Set up and operate Swiss machines to produce precision components.

Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to plan machining operations.

Select and install cutting tools, attachments, and accessories; optimize setups for repeatability.

Monitor production, adjust settings as needed, and verify parts meet specifications.

Inspect parts using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.).Troubleshoot machining and process issues; implement robust solutions.

Perform routine preventive maintenance to sustain machine performance.

Promote a collaborative, professional team environment while enforcing safety and company policies.

What you bring

Proven leadership abilities with hands-on experience running Swiss machines.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Strong blueprint and drawing literacy; working knowledge of GD&T.Proficiency with hand tools and precision measuring instruments.

Familiarity with CAD (e.g., Solid Works) for programming-related tasks.

Materials handling know-how for efficient loading/unloading of parts.

Detail orientation, problem-solving strength, and process troubleshooting skill.

Experience in aerospace manufacturing is a plus; you should be proficient in Aerospace Manufacturing.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed to support production goals and team success.
