Hire Now Staffing is actively recruiting an experienced Perioperative Nursing & Ambulatory Surgical Services Director for one of our valued client partners in Palmdale, California
.

This full-time leadership opportunity is designed for an accomplished nursing leader with extensive acute-care, operating room, and Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) experience who is prepared to oversee perioperative services within a hospital-type outpatient surgery environment.

The Director will provide strategic and operational leadership for perioperative nursing services, strengthen clinical quality and patient safety, support staff development, and help shape the continued growth of a state-of-the‑art surgical program.

Compensation ranges from $170,000–$210,000 annually
, with comprehensive benefits and potential sign‑on assistance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide executive-level nursing leadership for perioperative services within the ambulatory surgery center.
  • Direct day‑to‑day clinical and operational performance across perioperative nursing services.
  • Establish and maintain high standards for surgical patient care, safety, quality, and clinical outcomes.
  • Lead, develop, mentor, and support perioperative nursing leaders and clinical staff.
  • Evaluate staffing requirements and ensure appropriate utilization of nursing resources.
  • Strengthen workflows and operational processes across the surgical continuum.
  • Partner with physicians, anesthesia providers, nursing leadership, administration, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Promote effective collaboration between clinical and operational stakeholders.
  • Monitor quality, safety, regulatory, operational, and patient‑care performance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, clinical outcomes, patient experience, and staff performance.
  • Support regulatory readiness and adherence to applicable healthcare and surgical‑services standards.
  • Participate in strategic planning and implementation of perioperative initiatives.
  • Support recruitment, retention, professional development, and performance management of nursing personnel.
  • Help establish and advance the culture, standards, and operational framework of this growing surgical program.
Required Qualifications
  • Master's degree in nursing, Health Administration, Business, Public Health, Management
    , or another qualifying field specified by the organization.
  • Minimum 8 years of acute healthcare nursing experience
    .
  • At least 4 years of progressive nursing management or supervisory experience
    .
  • Minimum 3 years of Operating Room (OR) experience
    .
  • Minimum 2–3 years of Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) experience
    .
  • Demonstrated experience leading perioperative or surgical‑services operations.
  • Strong clinical leadership and nursing‑management capabilities.
  • Ability to lead teams within a complex surgical environment.
  • Strong understanding of patient safety, clinical quality, operational performance, and healthcare compliance.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, problem‑solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, executives, nursing professionals, and interdisciplinary stakeholders.
  • Ability to work onsite in Palmdale, California
    .
Preferred Qualifications
  • Significant leadership experience within a hospital‑affiliated or hospital‑type outpatient surgery center.
  • Progressive leadership responsibility within perioperative services.
  • Experience overseeing multidisciplinary surgical teams.
  • Demonstrated success improving perioperative workflows, quality, safety, or operational performance.
  • Experience developing and mentoring nursing leaders and clinical teams.

    Background supporting the development or expansion of surgical programs.
  • Experience with in a large or nationally recognized healthcare organization.
  • Stable career progression demonstrating increasing nursing leadership responsibility.
Hire Now Package Compensation: $170,000–$210,000 annually
