Palmdale, CA 93550 - $16.50 - $17.50 / hour - part time

We are seeking a friendly and customer-oriented Cashier to join our taco truck in an exclusive new designated location! Our taco truck will also travel across SoCal to special events on occasion. The ideal candidate will be the face of our company, responsible for handling customer orders, processing payments, and ensuring a positive experience. As a Cashier, you will play an important role in delivering excellent customer service,ensuring the smooth operation of the truck, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and assisting customers with menu inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Process customer payments, including cash, credit/debit cards, and digital payment methods.
• Provide accurate change and receipts to customers.
• Ensure the accuracy of orders before handing them to customers.
• Ensure accuracy of orders and work closely with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food.
• Provide menu information and answer customer questions.
• Help keep the taco truck clean and tidy.
• Handle customer complaints or issues with courtesy and professionalism.
• Assist in stock management and food prep as needed.
• Follow all health and safety regulations and cleanliness standards.

Requirements:

• Prior experience as a cashier or in customer service is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic math skills for handling cash and transactions.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and work in a mobile environment.
• Friendly, positive attitude and a team player.
• Flexible hours, mostly weekday mornings, some weekend nights, depending on truck schedule.
• Ability to handle a busy and energetic atmosphere.
