We're looking for an experienced, relationship-driven Business Consultant to serve as a trusted financial advisor to our business members while expanding our commercial banking presence throughout the communities we serve.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys connecting with business owners, uncovering opportunities, and providing consultative financial solutions that help businesses thrive. Through networking, community involvement, commercial lending, and relationship management, you'll play a vital role in growing our business portfolio while delivering exceptional member experiences.

What You'll DoBuild Business Relationships- Develop new business relationships through networking, referrals, community involvement, and strategic outreach.
- Represent Edwards Federal Credit Union at chamber events, business associations, networking groups, and community events.
- Build strong referral partnerships with local business owners, professional organizations, and community leaders.
- Maintain an active pipeline of prospective business members through proactive outreach and relationship-building.
- Conduct consultative meetings to understand each business's financial goals and recommend customized solutions.
- Partner with our Community Impact Team to identify opportunities that strengthen our presence within the communities we serve.
- Serve as a trusted advisor by recommending business lending, deposit, and cash management solutions tailored to each member's needs.
- Originate and manage commercial loans, business lines of credit, and business credit card applications.
- Open and service business deposit accounts while identifying opportunities to deepen member relationships.
- Conduct financial reviews that uncover opportunities for additional products and services.
- Collaborate with underwriting, operations, and internal partners to ensure a seamless lending and account opening experience.
- Build long-term relationships through regular financial reviews, proactive communication, and responsive service.
- Identify opportunities to expand existing relationships through additional lending and business banking solutions.
- Achieve established goals for business development, lending, referrals, and member satisfaction.
- Maintain ownership of member relationships by providing exceptional follow-through and timely resolution of complex issues.
- Partner with branch teams and internal departments to deliver a consistent member experience.
- Share knowledge of business banking products and provide guidance to colleagues.
- Mentor team members on consultative conversations, relationship management, and business banking best practices.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field preferred. - Three or more years of experience in business banking, commercial lending, financial services sales, relationship management, or a related field.
- Experience originating business loans and opening business deposit accounts preferred.
- Demonstrated success developing business relationships and achieving business development or sales goals.
- Strong consultative sales, networking, and relationship management skills.
- Knowledge of commercial lending, business banking products, and financial services.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and an active business development pipeline.
- Ability to travel locally for business appointments, networking events, and community activities.
