- Understand and experience in specifying, collecting, processing and presenting information from potentially several disparate data sets.
- Generate actionable knowledge from data.
- Analyze data sets and quickly develop recommendations based on quantitative and qualitative data from many different types of sources.
- Identify patterns and higher‑level information from all the data sources through use of tools and application programming.
- Understand the general problem space and confidently explain the different insights generated from the data.
- Translate analytic findings into clear, actionable recommendations and executive presentations with compelling visualizations and narratives.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and lineage for insight‑generating datasets through validation rules, monitoring, and escalation processes.
- Prioritize analytics backlog using business impact, technical feasibility, and operational readiness; manage stakeholder expectations and delivery timelines.
- Lead cross‑functional analytics projects, coordinating engineering, data platform, and business teams to deliver production‑ready solutions.
- Principal (Level
3): 5 years with Bachelor’s degree or 3 years with a Master’s degree or 9 years of experience in lieu of degree. - Senior Principal (Level
4): 8 years with Bachelor’s degree or 6 years with a Master’s degree or 12 years of experience in lieu of degree. - Hands‑on analytics experience, including advanced statistical modeling and experimentation.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products and Atlassian Suites.
- Experience with pivoting tables, charting, and building nested Excel functions.
- Candidates must be willing to work a dynamic work schedule/multiple shifts that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends.
- Active Government Top Secret SCI clearance (with a background investigation within the past 5 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
- Ability to obtain and maintain initial Special Access Program (SAP) access via a Program Access Request (PAR) within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
- Be familiar with aircraft systems such as avionics/mechanical equipment as well as other common systems.

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
BenefitsDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
