Your Role:Family Support Advocate - Strong Communities
Pay: $24/hour
Your Toolkit Should Include- Bachelor’s degree in human services, psychology, social work, or related field OR 1-3 years’ hands‑on experience supporting children and families in crisis situations
- Understanding of child development, community resources, and system navigation
- Ability to work effectively in multicultural, multilingual, and socioeconomically diverse communities
- Strong organizational skills with precise documentation and follow-through
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Valid CA Class C driver’s license
- Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency required
- Engaging and recruiting families through community outreach and events
- Conducting assessments and creating individualized service plans
- Providing in‑home support on parenting, child safety, and development
- Connecting families to culturally responsive community resources and systems
- Coordinating services, advocating for family needs, and maintaining accurate documentation
- Representing the program at meetings, trainings, and community activities while modeling TIROC and DEI principles
