Olive Support Services (OSS) is a community-focused organization committed to being a positive experience in the lives of the people we meet so they are exposed to and empowered to live a higher quality of life than we met them. For this housing program, OSS is providing transitional housing and support services for young adults aged 18-25 who may be facing substance use challenges.
We believe in creating a safe and empowering environment that facilitates the personal and professional growth of our residents.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to transitional aged youth residents in maintaining a positive living environment.
- Report to and collaborate with the facility manager to address any crises or emergencies.
- Assist residents in establishing and maintaining daily routines, including chores, cooking, and other life skills.
- Keep accurate records of resident activities, progress, and any incidents.
- Ensure participants receive three nutritious meals a day and support their dietary needs.
- Foster a sense of community through facilitating in-home emotional regulation and conflict-resolution discussions and encourage residents to engage in empowering services.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma required;
Associate's Degree preferred. - Kind, firm, and street-smart demeanor with the ability to connect and communicate effectively with transitional-aged youth.
- Responsible and reliable with a commitment to creating a supportive environment for residents.
- Flexibility and willingness to work a variable schedule to accommodate the needs of the residents.
- Experience with minor home repairs and skilled in general maintenance.
- Lift up to 50lb.
- Understanding and sensitivity to the unique challenges faced by transitional aged youth, especially those with substance use concerns.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Hourly wage of $21/hour; 40-hour week.
