Program Assistant

Project SAFE (Support and Advocacy for Family Empowerment) is a unique child‑abuse prevention program that serves DCFS‑referred families with children ages 0‑5, as well as at‑risk pregnant women and parents with infants under 6 months dealing with substance abuse, domestic violence, and/or mental health issues. Project SAFE provides home‑based services including, but not limited to: counseling, case coordination, psycho‑education, parent training, parent/child interaction activities, and family advocacy.

• Bachelor's degree in Sociology, Social Work, Psychology, Child Development, or related field preferred. Candidates with a high school diploma will still be considered.
• Must be detail oriented with strong organizational skills, excellent time management, computer proficiency, and communication skills.
• Ability to work with a multi‑disciplinary team and interface with partner agencies and community members.
• Valid CA driver's license with reliable transportation and good driving record.
• Knowledge of the local community and experience working with diverse populations highly desirable.
• Bilingual in Spanish required.
