Software Engineer - Level 2

Overview

The Skunk Works (Lockheed Martin Advanced Development Programs) is looking for world-class talent in Software Engineering to be a part of a team that will carry on our 80-year tradition of history-making in advanced aircraft development. We are a highly innovative fast paced team working to develop modular and reusable software to support both our current platforms and the aircraft of the future.

This team is working on new development software where team members get to work hands on from the lab to the aircraft in all stages of development, including design, code, integration, and lab and field test. We work on a wide range of technologies and give our team members the opportunity to drive their career toward their area of interest.

You will work with a high performing and passionate team who is involved within the company as well as outside the organization. This position offers meaningful and exciting technical work spanning both software development and supporting integration and test for a multi-site team. This position involves software development and supporting integration and test for a multi-site team. Activities span from design and code to integration, lab testing and field testing across current platforms and future platforms.

• Bachelor’s degree or above from an accredited college in a relevant field of study
• Experience with C++
• Experience with Linux
• Experience with the software development process in a team environment (peer reviews, unit testing, configuration management, defect tracking)
• CURRENT Active Secret clearance

• Experience with developing software for imaging payload mission systems (EO/IR, Radar, etc)
• Experience integrating hardware and software
• Experience in scripting languages (e.g. python)
• Experience with build environments and tools (make and CMake)
• Experience using agile software development tools and methodologies (e.g. Git, Gitlab, JIRA, Jenkins, Confluence, etc.)
• Experience with networking protocols (e.g. IP, UDP, RTP, etc.)
• Experience with Modeling and Simulation
• Ability to build and maintain relationships and collaborate effectively with others
• Strong decision making and judgment skills
• Experience with automated testing using frameworks such as JUnit, Gradle and/or Cucumber

• Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time:
  The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
• Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
• Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
• Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $76,500 - $134,895.
