Position: Software Engineer Staff Combat Systems
Description:

You will be the Software Engineer Staff responsible for developing advanced integrated mission system simulation solutions that enables warfighters to shape requirements and operational implementation scenarios.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Software Engineer - Simulation & Integration you will be responsible for integrating, testing, and enhancing simulation software to support the development of airborne mission systems.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Develop and maintain real-time distributed simulation software for aircraft and support systems.

* Integrate and troubleshoot software in hardware in the loop and man in the loop labs.

* Lead a cross functional and cross-business area team to support software development and integration efforts.

* Execute verification and validation activities to ensure software performance meets program requirements.

* Provide technical guidance for future lab improvements and Digital Transformation initiatives.

Who You Are

You are an experienced software engineer with a solid track record in simulation development, integration and troubleshooting. You bring strong analytical skills, a collaborative spirit, and a drive to solve complex technical challenges. Your background includes working with mission systems integration, man in the loop testing, and leading a team to deliver solutions. You thrive in fast paced environments and are eager to make a tangible impact on legacy and next generation aircraft capabilities.

Further Information About This Opportunity

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in an Engineering/Technical Field

* Software Development Experience using C++

* Experience developing software in Windows and Linux

* Experience with cmake

* Experience working with TCP/UDP, DDS, networking

* Experience with Agile software development methodologies and tools, such as Jira

Desired

Skills:

* Experience with visualization tools such as VRSG.

* Experience with OMNI View

* Experience with mission scenario development tools such as AFSIM

* Experience with HOTAS controls.

* Experience with aircraft heads-up displays.

* Experience with aircraft simulators.

* Experience with DIS, CIGI

* Experience with real-time software development & integration

* Experience with automated testing

* Experience with software version control and tools, such as Git

* Experience performing software integration in hardware-in-the-loop and/or man-in-the-loop simulation environments

* Strong oral and written communication skills

* Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills

* Strong work ethic and self-motivation

Security Clearance Statement:
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret
