Software Engineer Staff – Simulation & Integration
Develop and maintain advanced integrated mission system simulation solutions to enable warfighters to shape requirements and operational implementation scenarios.
What You Will Be Doing- Develop and maintain real-time distributed simulation software for aircraft and support systems.
- Integrate and troubleshoot software in hardware-in-the-loop and man-in-the-loop labs.
- Lead a cross‑functional and cross‑business area team to support software development and integration efforts.
- Execute verification and validation activities to ensure software performance meets program requirements.
- Provide technical guidance for future lab improvements and Digital Transformation initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering/Technical Field.
- Software development experience using C++.
- Experience developing software in Windows and Linux.
- Experience with CMake.
- Experience with TCP/UDP, DDS, and networking.
- Experience with Agile software development methodologies and tools such as Jira.
- Experience with visualization tools such as VRSG.
- Experience with OMNI View.
- Experience with mission scenario development tools such as AFSIM.
- Experience with HOTAS controls.
- Experience with aircraft heads‑up displays.
- Experience with aircraft simulators.
- Experience with DIS, CIGI.
- Experience with real‑time software development & integration.
- Experience with automated testing.
- Experience with software version control and tools such as Git.
- Experience performing software integration in hardware‑in‑the‑loop and/or man‑in‑the‑loop simulation environments.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- Strong work ethic and self‑motivation.
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN. Selected candidate must possess an active secret clearance.
Salary and BenefitsAnnual base salary range (excluding most major metropolitan areas): $113,900 – $200,905.
Salary ranges in major metropolitan areas: $131,000 – $227,125.
