Thompson Software Solutions is seeking a Senior Dev Sec Ops  Engineer to support the development and deployment of end‑to‑end software for military aircraft platforms. This role enables secure, resilient, and scalable software delivery pipelines that directly support U.S. military aviation and national defense initiatives. The position requires a software engineer to apply a wide range of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the software field to develop, integrate, and test software products.

The successful candidate will be a member of a high‑performing multisite team, working independently on projects or collaboratively with other engineers and program development teams.

Selected applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Continued eligibility for access to classified information is required throughout employment, as dictated by program needs.

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline
• 5+ years of Dev Sec Ops  experience
• Python & Yaml experience
• Secure Dev Sec Ops  pipelines for safety‑critical, air‑gapped environments
• Containerization & Kubernetes (on‑prem, disconnected operations)
• Build environment tools (make & CMake)
• Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform, Helm)
• Linux (RHEL, Yocto, Buildroot)
• Bitbucket & Gitlab experience
• Cross‑functional leadership across engineering, security, and IT teams
• Ability to work onsite 100%

• Proficient with Atlassian tools (Confluence, JIRA, Bitbucket, etc.)
• Proficient with Ansible
• CI/CD integration with certification artifacts
• Secure networking & zero‑trust architectures
• Embedded & real‑time systems enablement (RTOS, flight software)
• Familiarity with DO‑178 A‑C
• Experience communicating and documenting complex technical designs
• Ability to work in a collaborative and team‑based environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Ability to travel 10%
