- Train in the roles and responsibilities of an Administrator in a long-term facility
- Analyze operations within a nursing facility
- Liaise between the nursing facility, residents, families, and outside community
- Compile and develop reporting on budget projections, revenue, and expenses
- Model the organization's mission, vision, and values
- Engage with community groups, hospital leadership, and physicians
- Monitor industry regulations, laws, and compliance updates and implement changes
- Study Federal and State regulations and industry best practices
- Monitor staffing-level requirements and adhere to standards
- Assist with policy and procedural changes
- Resolve HR issues and risk-management situations
- Assist with capital improvements and safety programs
- Participate in advisory committees
- Develop relationships with HR, Therapy, Clinical, and Finance support teams
- Assist with vendor contract negotiations under the Preceptor's direction
- Support clinical quality-assurance efforts and accountability
- Monitor collections and accounts receivable daily
- Develop and execute ideas to increase employee engagement and minimize turnover
- Assist in managing and overseeing employees, including hiring, training, performance appraisal, rewards, discipline, complaint resolution, problem-solving, and terminations
- Work under the direct supervision of a licensed Precepting Administrator
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year accredited college or university in Healthcare Administration or Business preferred
- Master's degree or MBA preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite products
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers and employees
- Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization
- Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions
- Must work in one of the employer's buildings outside Utah, including Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, or Washington
Demonstrates expertise in Healthcare Administration, including compliance with Federal and State regulations, budget management, and operational analysis within a nursing facility. Strong ability to engage with community stakeholders and manage HR functions effectively.
