Overview
"Opportunities Start Here" is more than a slogan at the University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) Matanuska-Susitna College (Mat-Su College). Mat-Su College is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join the Student Services team as an Enrollment Specialist. The Enrollment Specialist serves as a key member of the Student Services team, providing front-line customer service to prospective and current students, assisting with admissions and enrollment processes, maintaining student records, and connecting students with campus resources and services.
The role also provides administrative support to Student Services leadership while ensuring the accurate, professional, and confidential handling of student information.
This position supports Student Services operations, student engagement initiatives, and campus-wide events, including recruitment activities, campus tours, new student orientation, commencement, and other special programs. The Enrollment Specialist coordinates communications, assists with event planning and logistics, manages office procedures and records, and supports purchasing and fiscal processes. The role provides accurate information and guidance regarding admissions, enrollment, academic programs, financial aid, advising, and a variety of student support services.
Through these efforts, the position contributes to a welcoming, student-centered environment and supports student success from initial inquiry through completion.
One year college coursework in a related field and one year relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Position DetailsThis position is located at Matanuska-Susitna College in Palmer, Alaska. This is a full-time, non-exempt staff position with a competitive salary and a full employee benefits package. The compensation package includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 76, based on education and experience.
