Overview
The Enrollment Specialist serves as a key member of the Student Services team, providing exceptional support to prospective and current students throughout their educational journey. As one of the first points of contact for students, families, and community members, this position delivers front‑line customer service, assists with admissions and enrollment processes, maintains student records, and connects students with campus resources and services.
The role also provides administrative support to Student Services leadership while ensuring the accurate, professional, and confidential handling of student information.
Responsibilities
- Support Student Services operations and student engagement initiatives.
- Plan and coordinate recruitment activities, campus tours, new‑student orientations, commencement, and other special programs.
- Handle front‑line customer service, admissions and enrollment processes, and maintain student records.
- Coordinate communications, event planning and logistics, office procedures and records, and support purchasing and fiscal processes.
- Provide accurate guidance regarding admissions, enrollment, academic programs, financial aid, advising, and other student support services.

Position Details
This full‑time, non‑exempt staff position is located at Matanuska‑Susitna College in Palmer, Alaska. The employee receives a competitive salary and a full benefits package, including retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and families, and medical, dental, and vision coverage. New hires are placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 76, based on education and experience.
Minimum Qualifications
One year of college coursework in a related field and one year of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
