The Matanuska-Susitna Borough School District is seeking a 1.0 FTE Special Education Teacher for the Deaf & Hard of Hearing Program at Shaw Elementary. The ideal candidate will implement individualized education plans as defined by the IEP Team, advocate for disabled students, and promote positive attitudes about Special Education.
American Sign Language fluency and knowledge in cochlear implant systems are critical. Candidates need an Alaska Teaching Certificate – Type A and a Bachelor's degree in Special Education and Deaf Education.
