IT Infrastructure Engineer Hybrid

Overview

TEKsystems is looking to bring on an IT Infrastructure Engineer-level resource to support operational workload as well as several upcoming infrastructure initiatives. This role is highly hands‑on and will work closely with the Infrastructure Architect and internal IT teams. We are supporting a key technology organization located in Palmer and are looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to assist with both day‑to‑day operations and upcoming infrastructure initiatives.

• Manage and support physical and virtual infrastructure (servers, storage, networking, virtualization, cloud services)
• Monitor system performance, availability, and security
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues across on‑prem and cloud environments
• Participate in disaster recovery, business continuity, and incident response activities
• Implement or support security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, patching, system hardening)
• Deploy or maintain technologies including Windows Server, VMware/Hyper‑V, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and related platforms
• Collaborate closely with Infrastructure Architecture and internal IT teams to ensure stability and reliability

• Strong hands‑on experience with enterprise infrastructure technologies
• Solid troubleshooting capability across systems, networks, and virtualization
• Experience supporting both operational workload and project‑based initiatives
• Security‑minded with familiarity in patching, hardening, and core security controls
• Someone proactive, execution‑focused, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities

Contract position based out of Palmer, AK.

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
