Adult Probation Officers are responsible for the supervision of a caseload of adult felony and misdemeanor offenders that have been remanded to the custody and care of the Department of Corrections. If you have the desire to assist your community, the State of Alaska, and the Department by facilitating secure confinement, rehabilitation, and supervised community reintegration to promote public safety, this may be the career for you.

The successful candidate will work as part of a team of Adult Probation Officers to handle the overall caseload management and rehabilitative needs of approximately 500 inmates.
