Description
Position is Per Diem, 0.01 FTE, Day Shift, hours as needed. Located onsite at Providence Valdez Medical Center in Valdez, Alaska.
Performs all the essential functions of the Registered Sonographer. Conducts and evaluates sonographic examinations, obtains clinical history and performs a physical assessment to determine appropriate testing protocol, and provides technical interpretation of sonographic and physiologic data to aid physicians in rendering a medical diagnosis.
Required Qualifications- Graduate of accredited Diagnostic Sonography Program or certification with American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
- National Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer within one year of hire.
- National Provider BLS – American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
- 9 months of ultrasound coursework experience in Abdomen, OB/Gyn including clinical rotation.
- 9 months of ultrasound coursework experience in Breast, Vascular including clinical rotation.

Location & PayWork Location:
Providence Valdez Medical Center, Valdez, Alaska. Pay Range: $48.79 – $75.74 per hour. Additional compensation such as shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities may be available.
