Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced professional in the mining industry to manage and execute a multitude of projects spanning several disciplines. The candidate should be professional and capable of establishing a strong teamwork environment. This is a salary position, reporting directly to the Yukon Regional Director of RAM Enterprise, Inc. The position requires residency within 1 hour of Palmer, AK.
- Proven commitment to safety and leadership in on-site safety programs.
- Oversee overall project progress, including scheduling of workers, delivery of equipment, and materials.
- Develop annual budgets including capital expenditures and sales forecasts by customer, with an action plan for implementation.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with customers.
- Obtain quotes from vendors and provide quotations to customers.
- Manage multiple open quotations and advance them to order status.
- Collaborate with contractors and subcontractors efficiently.
- Adhere to project timelines and budgets to ensure deadlines are met.
- Coordinate planning, setup, and execution of large and complex projects.
- Lead and manage on-site teams and oversee all on-site work.
- Ensure orderly on-site operations and compliance with safety regulations.
- Resolve contract disputes and arrange necessary order changes.
- Provide leadership with strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills; actively listen and facilitate collaboration.
- Mentor, train, and support succession-planning activities for the team.
- Understand company profit expectations and their impact on monthly financials.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- 5+ years of on-the-job supervision experience in the industrial and mining industry.
- Current MSHA certification or completion of New Miner certification within the last two years.
- Valid driver’s license required at hire and as a condition of continued employment.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook.
- Ability to develop and sustain positive working relationships with all personnel.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience working on smartphones and tablets.
- Advanced understanding of MSHA and OSHA rules and regulations.
- Ability to work in diverse industrial settings (shop, mining, construction) with potential exposure to extreme temperatures, humidity, moving parts, electrical hazards, chemicals, fumes, or airborne particles.
- Ability to safely lift 75–100 lbs. frequently using proper lifting techniques.
- Physical ability to stand, sit, use manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, work on elevated platforms, and communicate effectively.
