Travel Nurse RN - Long-Term Care - in Seward, AK

Job Title and Location

Registered Nurse (RN) – Long‑Term Care – Seward, AK

Days – 3 days × 12 hours (optionally nights with a 4‑hour, 12‑hour or 3 × 12‑hour schedule based on facility needs). The assignment allows either Days or Nights, but each shift will be consistent at the start of the contract.

Pay: $2,345 per week. Contract duration: 26 weeks.

6/23/2026 (or ASAP if available).

• Provide skilled nursing care to residents in a long‑term care facility.
• Administer medications, oxygen, and peripheral line care.
• Execute isolation precautions and personal protective equipment protocols.
• Chart patient care using the facility’s electronic system.
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:20 for day, night, and weekend shifts.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (social services, therapy, physician assistants).
• Perform unit tasks such as wound care, glucose monitoring, and respiratory treatments as needed.
• Submit required reports and documentation in a timely manner.
• Adhere to facility policies regarding safety, infection control, and quality of care.

• Registered Nurse (RN) license held in the State of Alaska.
• Board‑Level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in long‑term care.
• Experience charting on any electronic system.
• Must complete Alaska Food Worker Certification during orientation (one‑time $10 fee).
• Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance are required if a vehicle is provided.
• Address must be at least 50 miles from the facility (no locals).

• Must be willing to work at least two of the three major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's).
• Maximum of 2 weeks return‑to‑office is allowed for a 26‑week contract.
• Traveler vehicle is provided by the facility and may be used only within a 30‑mile radius; vehicle must be returned with a full tank of gas.
