Description
The Mechanical Quality Control Inspector conducts mechanical inspections, ensuring adherence to quality standards, reviewing and documenting quality procedures, identifying and addressing non-conformities, analyzing data to detect potential issues, and implementing corrective actions to maintain product quality throughout the manufacturing process, all while focusing on safety and regulatory compliance.
Schedule- 7 days per week, 11.5 hours per day
- 80.5 hours per week

- Must hold a valid AWS “CWI” Certified Welding Inspector License
- On-site inspection of structural and mechanical welding practices
- Maintaining detailed inspection reports, recording data, and documenting any non-conformances found during inspection.
- Investigate and address non-conformities, discrepancies, or deficiencies promptly.
- Identifying and reporting defects or deviations from specifications, initiating corrective actions, and following up to ensure issues are being resolved.
- Inspect the production quality to establish requirements are being met.
- Verify work is in place according to drawing and specifications.
- Record and document all deviations from original scope.
- Notify management of all discrepancies found.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma, or Equivalent
- Two (2) years’ heavy mechanical industrial experience required.
- Current and valid driver’s license, with clean driving record
- North Slope Training Certification, "NSTC"
- Proven fluency with computers, including ability to learn new software.
- Take and pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
- Take and pass a Fit for Duty Examination.
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles, welding procedures, and engineering practices
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
- Expertise in using various measuring tools and testing equipment.
- Knowledge of quality control methodologies and documentation practices
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify defects.
- Effective communication skills to effectively report quality issues.
- Ability to set and balance priorities to complete projects on time.
- Ability to make decisions and recommend appropriate course of action in demanding situations.
