Role OverviewReporting to the Port Operations Supervisor, the Port Operator is responsible for dumping concentrate trucks, cleaning around conveyor systems, operating front‑end loaders 966, 988, D8 dozer, VAC truck and other labor type jobs as required.
2026 Shipping Season;
Rotation Schedule will be 2 weeks on‑site with 2 weeks off‑site.
- Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures.
- Operate 988 loaders and dozers.
- Load concentrate efficiently and maintain tones loaded per hour.
- Assist with pile management of concentrate storage buildings.
- Assist in the port yard.
- Unload trucks.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in heavy equipment operating and basic knowledge of equipment.
- A team player and able to communicate well with others.
- Highly motivated and able to perform tasks with limited direction.
- Adhere to high safety standards.
- Work day, afternoon, or night shifts as required.
- Work outdoors with potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions.
- Perform labor intensive work when required; physically capable of performing the essential functions of the trade.
- Current driver’s license is preferred.
- Access: Fly in, fly out.
- Schedule: Two‑weeks on / two‑weeks off rotational schedule to support a healthy work‑life balance.
