JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Craft CUI Line Lift/Scaffolding Technician is responsible for building, dismantling scaffolds along with setting crib stacks and lift jacks to allow for insulation removal and corrosion inspection of piping systems and must be a minimum level II scaffold builder and possess a thorough knowledge of the in-service line lifting procedures and the location verification process.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES- Must comply with Company and Client policies and procedures.
- Must support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability / responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
- Must be able to clearly communicate the progress of daily assigned task to supervision.
- Must be able to review and interpret blueprints, corrosion drawings, CRT print outs to determine materials and equipment required for assigned work.
- Must be able to safely use hand and power tools in conjunction with scaffolding, planking, plywood, and dunnage.
- Must be able to perform load calculations for scaffold and lift jacks.
- Must be able to supervise, coordinate and mentor crew members.
- Must be able to erect scaffolds in compliance with OSHA and company regulations.
- Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.
- Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
- Other duties will be assigned to this position as needed.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- A valid U.S. issued Driver's License is required.
- A North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) safety training certification is required.
- The ability to work 84 a week on a 2x2 rotation is required.
- At least four (4) years of experience as a CUI Line Lift/Scaffolding Technician is required.
- Four (4) or more years of experience working as a CUI Line Lift/Scaffolding Technician specifically in the Petrochemical or Oil and Gas industry, on the North Slope, and/or in other Arctic environment is preferred.
While working on the North Slope of Alaska, your lodging and food will be provided. All camps provide warm meals and options to grab a quick lunch or snack from the spike rooms. Rooms vary from single status to shared rooms where your roommate may work the opposite shift. Wi‑Fi and Internet is free and available within the camp. Services vary depending upon where you are staying;
however, most facilities offer housekeeping, self‑serve laundry, commissary, mail, gyms, TV/Theater Room, etc. Each facility will have its own accommodation and policies that will be reviewed upon on‑site orientation.
