Your impact

Keep facilities mission-ready by independently maintaining and repairing fire alarm and suppression systems across multiple buildings.

Install, inspect, and function-test systems per manufacturer guidance and NFPA standards.

Identify faulty components through visual inspection and device-level diagnostics; replace as needed.

Verify initiating and signal circuits, detectors, and system transmitter operation; correct deficiencies.

Read pressure gauges on suppression system storage containers; recharge or replace containers.

Interpret wiring diagrams and control schematics to locate failures quickly.

Plan and lay out work from blueprints, drawings, and verbal/written instructions.

Partner with other trades and warehouse teams to secure correct materials and assemblies; support periodic stock inventories and requisitions.

Diagnose system failures and determine the appropriate corrective action.

Assist other departments and trade groups as operational needs arise; perform other duties as assigned.

Deliver work that is timely and cost-effective.

Operate independently once scope and priorities are set by the Facility Supervisor.

Adhere to guidance from Facility Supervisor/Operations Management, manufacturer manuals, NEC/NFPA/UFC codes, and engineering diagrams.

Communicate with professionalism; treat all stakeholders with courtesy.

Practice exemplary safety and follow company SOPs and policies.

Maintain composure and performance under pressure.

Required qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Four (4) years of experience in the fire alarm maintenance and/or electrical field.

NICET II Certification.

Demonstrated ability to install, troubleshoot, and repair various fire alarm systems, controls, and equipment, including addressable fire alarm and suppression systems.

Ability to successfully pass any employment background check and/or drug testing required on the contract.

Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance at the Secret level.

Preferred Knowledge of solid-state and conventional control circuitry.

Experience on Military or Government base operations.

Work environment

Indoors and outdoors in varied temperatures; travel between buildings, including during inclement weather.

Work around potential exposure to hazardous materials.

Physical requirements

Lift up to 50 lbs; frequent overhead reaching, bending, stooping, and squatting.

Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment.

Climb ladders regularly to perform inspections and repairs.

Where you’ll work Onsite at Fort Greely, Alaska.
