Job Purpose:
The Field Foreman(s) will serve as the onsite single point of contact for the Field Support work crews, inclusive of Wells Support hardline, fluid hauling, roustabout crews, and general rig support driver operators. The Field Foreman will direct the work of crews based on job criteria including size of crew, work complexity, and any applicable state or federal requirements.
Essential Job Functions:
Manage field requests and direct work crews in the execution of field requests.
Ensure cross training and functional role development occurs within work crews.
Tack and monitor use of equipment and provide input to General Foreman regarding equipment utilization.
Supervise of one or more trade groups in a particular discipline for the Fluid Hauling operation, which requires labor force disciplines trained and experienced in oil field operations in support of operating vac trucks for Drilling, Wells, Projects and Operations, Water Tankers, infield delivery of chemicals, and other work that may be directed by 3rd Party Clients, including but not limited to Fueling Operations.
Promote safe work practices and implement company and client safety policies for work crew, including proper hazard recognition and mitigation.
Provide supervision and or direction to crew.
Ensure all crew members have the required skills and abilities to perform job tasks safely and correctly.
Assign a mentor to new crew members and verify that mentoring process is followed and completed.
Regularly communicate expectations to crew with respect to work execution, safety, procedures, efficiency and encourage open communication from team members.
Provide regular and timely feedback regarding performance.
Serve as a technical authority to crew and management team with respect to energy isolation, bolt up procedures, rigging and equipment operations.
Plan and supervise workforce which may consist of leadmen and/or craft in performance of assigned work activities, including determination of manpower levels, material quantities, equipment, work schedules and documentation of actual hours worked.
Demonstrate support for the company’s environmental management system objectives and the ability to maintain positive support with our contract objectives and goals.
Continually seek improvement in work processes.
Routinely perform safety and productivity observations; shop, field, and vehicle inspections; and attend various components of technical, developmental and safety training.
Assist in resolving performance problems, such as lack of productivity, work interfaces, etc., as required.
Approve time and ensure any required approvals for holdovers or additional overtime are obtained.
Conduct weekly safety meeting for crew.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and competing demands simultaneously.
Knowledge of applicable technical and safety policies, procedures and standards.
Knowledge of the functional operation, purpose, capabilities and limitations of any piece of equipment qualified to operate.
Ability to train, direct and assess employee’s knowledge in equipment operation/driving.
