Responsibilities
  • Drive a commercial motor vehicle which requires a Class A Commercial Driver's License and a Hazardous Materials endorsement.
  • Apply knowledge of commercial driving and skills in maneuvering vehicles at varying speeds in difficult situations such as heavy traffic, inclement weather and in/out of tight areas.
  • Transport fuel in a timely and safe manner from load racks to retail and customer sites.
  • Properly manage daily pre‑trip and post‑trip for the assigned vehicle.
  • Submit daily record of duty status (HOS) via ELD mileage records and other records per DOT requirements.
  • Properly upload delivery paperwork into dispatch system.
  • Maintain daily communication with driver supervisor and dispatcher.
  • Maintain proper material and supplies for assigned vehicle.
  • Attend monthly and/or yearly assigned training.
  • Properly interact with customers.
  • Maintain proper PPE at all times, both in the truck and out of the truck.
  • Operate outside of normal working hours – evenings or nights.
  • Schedule is negotiable.
Qualifications Education & Credentials
  • High school diploma or equivalent or experience in lieu of education.
Experience
  • Minimum of two years of experience operating Class A vehicles.
  • Class A CDL with the following endorsements:
    Tanker and Hazmat, and Doubles or Triples.
  • Must meet current driver qualifications as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
  • Must have a current medical card.
  • Must be able to obtain a TWIC card.
  • Must possess Longer Combination Vehicle Certificate (LCV) or be able to obtain it.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience operating doubles.
  • Experience delivering fuel.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Outlook and Word).
  • Able to use tablets for work instructions (ELD, maintenance, hours of service tracking).
  • Experience driving in mountainous winter conditions.
Working Conditions
  • Works both inside an office environment and also outside in conditions of both high and low temperatures.
  • May be exposed to odors, dust, dirt, mechanical hazards, high noise levels and potentially dangerous equipment.
  • Must be able to crouch and stoop to get into areas with restricted headroom and be able to climb ladders.
  • May require extended use of computer keyboard and viewing of computer monitor and ability to sit for long periods of time.
