Role Overview

Regional Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Leader responsible for translating sector HSE strategies into measurable site‑level improvement across multiple IMI locations in the Americas region (primarily North/East & Central US).

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive sector HSE priorities and translate them into clear site‑level action plans within 30 days of each cycle.
  • Ensure Site HSE Managers understand expectations and deliver against plans.
  • Manage competing sector priorities, escalating conflicts for resolution.
  • Lead change with Site HSE Managers, plan purposeful site visits, provide visible leadership, and drive corrective actions.
  • Monitor and report progress on site improvement plans monthly, ensuring high quality presentations and timely escalation of risks.
  • Act as insight layer between sites and sector strategy, surfacing systemic issues and best practices.
  • Support vacancy & continuity management, onboarding new Site HSE Managers, and maintain oversight during vacancies.
  • Coordinate cross‑sector activities across Industrial Automation, Process Automation, Life Science, Transport, and Climate Control.
  • Coach Site HSE Managers to build capability, enforce mandatory training, and promote a consistent safety culture.
  • Lead audits, investigate incidents, and enforce prevention measures.
  • Stay current with industry best practice and regulatory developments, recommending improvements.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Relevant HSE qualifications or certifications (e.g., bachelor’s degree, CSP, RSPP, NEBOSH Diploma).
  • Minimum five years’ experience in an HSE leadership role across multiple sites or sectors.
  • In‑depth technical knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practice.
  • Proven track record of delivering HSE improvements in an operational or industrial setting.
  • Strong influencing, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience with metrics‑focused reporting (weekly, monthly, quarterly).
  • Knowledge of HSE management systems, environmental & fire processes, industrial hygiene, ergonomics, incident reporting, auditing, ISO frameworks.
  • Excellent computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Compensation

Pay range: $150,000 – $180,000 USD. Bonus eligibility: variable incentive pay component separate from base salary.
