Surface Protection Coating Line Operator

About the role

Join a Palmer-based manufacturer where you’ll transform raw materials into high-performing surface protection products. Picture your day: you arrive on either first shift (7am–3pm) or second shift (3pm–11pm), review work orders, and prep the coating line for a safe, clean, and efficient run. You set up, verify specifications, and keep a close eye on quality from start to finish—all while following health, safety, and quality standards.

A day in the life Translate work orders into finished goods that meet precise specifications.

Run the 475 machine in alignment with documented JSAs and established manufacturing procedures.

Continuously inspect output for quality and cleanliness; correct and escalate issues promptly.

Flag and report any substandard materials or process deviations to your supervisor.

Record production details and quality checks with accuracy and completeness.

Mix and prepare adhesives, release coatings, and inks used in production.

Set plates and mount them onto shafts as needed for each job.

Handle materials, stage components, and support the line to keep production moving.

Keep your area organized and uphold housekeeping and safety expectations.

What you’ll bring

At least 1 year in manufacturing as a machine operator; background with coating, slitting, laminating, or similar converting processes is a plus.

Ability to lift up to 40 pounds safely.

Comfort taking direction and working both independently and with a team.

Reliable work history, initiative, and a strong drive to achieve.

Proficiency in machine setups for production runs.

Schedule and pay First shift: 7am–3pm; $19/hr Second shift: 3pm–11pm; $20.50/hr Monday–Friday Temp-to-hire path Machine Operator Requirements:
