Seeking a self-motivated individual to work as a Green Sand pourer. Job entails pouring molten metal weighing up to 60 lbs. on the end of a 3-foot hand ladle into proper molds on several lines on the pouring floor, and once the mold is set, dumping the mold.

This position may require access to export-controlled technology or software source code that is subject to export controls restrictions under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”) and will therefore be required to meet eligibility criteria under ITAR and EAR regulations.

Duties:

  • Inspect crane
  • Obtain molten metal from crucible via metal ladle
  • Pour molten metal into prepared mold
  • Transport completed castings to knock out department
  • Transport Hunter mold plates back to Hunter area
  • Dump molds from all casting lines
  • Clean and maintain area
  • Attend production meetings
  • Complete department safety sheets
  • Perform other duties or assignments as directed by management

Experience:

No specific education or certification is required; however, high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is desired. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate/loud.

Physical Requirements

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee may also be exposed to extreme temperatures depending on internal and external climate, as well as moderate/loud noise levels.

Shift schedule is 5:00 am to 1:30 pm
