Make an Impact with Baystate Health Baystate Health is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to join our Med Surg, Telemetry & IMC team at Baystate Wing Hospital in Palmer, Massachusetts. Our Med Surg, Telemetry & IMC team provides high-quality care to diverse medical-surgical, telemetry, and intermediate care patient populations, working closely with physicians, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, compassionate, patient-centered care.

The Nurse Manager role offers the opportunity to provide clinical and operational leadership across multiple patient care areas while supporting staff development, engagement, and retention in a close-knit, community-focused hospital environment. Wing Hospital is a beautifully renovated 74-bed community hospital serving the Palmer, MA region. The

Nurse Manager Will:
  • Provide leadership and oversight for nursing staff across Med Surg, Telemetry, and IMC units.
  • Manage clinical, operational, and administrative functions of assigned departments.
  • Promote patient safety, quality outcomes, evidence-based practice, and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead performance improvement, quality, and patient safety initiatives.
  • Support staff orientation, education, competency assessment, and professional development.
  • Partner with physicians, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and improve patient throughput.
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management.
  • Oversee departmental metrics including quality, utilization, productivity, and budgeting.
