HVAC Service Technician; RT

New England Mechanical Services is currently seeking a licensed HVAC Technician (RT) to maintain, troubleshoot, repair and operate commercial HVAC systems for our Palmer, Massachusetts Operations Group.

We serve commercial customers in Western and Central Massachusetts.

A company vehicle, HVAC equipment, gas card, cell phone, uniforms, and all PPE is provided.

• Keep trade licenses and certifications current. Follow and comply with the rules and regulations of section 608 of the Clean Air Act and occupational safety regulations mandated by federal, state and local governments.
• Attend all safety training provided and/or sponsored by NEMSI.
• Follow all NEMSI safety policies, procedures, and use personal protective equipment when performing installation and/or servicing HVAC systems.
• Interact with the client in a professional and courteous manner while maintaining a clean and neat appearance.
• Be flexible to work overtime and weekends as demand requires.
• Other duties may be assigned.

• Must hold a current Massachusetts Refrigeration Technician License.
• EPA 608 Universal required.
• Commercial HVAC systems experience.
• Must have a clean driving record.
• MA Oil Burner Technician certificate preferred but not required.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk, hear, smell and lift, set‑up and climb ladders as well as stairways. The employee is frequently required to stand and occasionally sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move various weight ranges such as 0–50 lbs.

Salary range $35.00–$50.00 per hour plus benefits. Overtime is available. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, along with health savings and flexible spending accounts, life insurance, disability, a 401(k) savings plan, college coach, and employee assistance program.
