Rate of Pay: $305.21 per diem
Description:
The Palmyra School District is seeking a certified Long-Term Substitute Teacher to provide high-quality instruction for a third grade classroom at Charles Street Elementary School. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of elementary education and a commitment to nurturing the social, emotional, and academic growth of young lstudents.
Required Qualifications:
* Valid New Jersey Elementary Education or Preschool through Grade 3 certificate (CE, CEAS, or Standard)
* Criminal history background check and fingerprint clearance
* Current Mantoux (tuberculin) test in accordance with NJDOE regulations
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons
* Identify student needs and provide instruction appropriate to those needs
* Coooperate with other professional staff members to assess and resolve learning difficulties
* Create and maintain a safe and structured classroom environment
* Partner with paraprofessionals and specialists to support student needs
* Monitor student progress and complete required assessments
* Maintain records of student eduational progress and summarize records for reporting purposes
* Maintain open communication with families and participate in school events
