Registered Municipal Clerk

The Borough of Palmyra seeks a Registered Municipal Clerk (RMC) with a Certified Municipal Registrar (CMR) license. Successful candidates must be highly self‑motivated, with excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, and the ability to multitask efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of agendas, resolutions, minutes, ordinances, and public record requests.
• Issuing various permits and licenses.
• Record management.
• Attendance at all Council meetings and elections.
• Serve as Secretary to the Governing Body.
• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and customer service orientation.
• Manage multiple deadlines and interface effectively with the Governing Body, Administrator, other Department Heads, residents, employees, volunteers, business owners, and professional consultants.

Qualifications:

• Must be computer proficient and experienced with Edmunds municipal software and MS Office programs.
• Minimum of 3 years of government experience preferred.
• Willingness to enroll in Registered Municipal Clerk and Certified Municipal Registrar classes and obtain certifications within two years.

Salary commensurate with qualifications, education and experience, with a range of $65,000.00 and higher for qualified candidates.
