Pete Moffat Construction is seeking a detail‑oriented and collaborative individual to join our administrative support team. This entry‑level role provides hands‑on experience in accounting and office operations, with opportunities to build skills and grow into more senior finance positions over time.
As a key member of the finance and administrative team, you will support accounts payable and receivable functions, assist with general office operations, and help ensure smooth day‑to‑day financial workflows. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, works well with others, and provides excellent customer service. Experience in a residential construction office environment is a plus.
Responsibilities- Assisting with recording financial transactions and maintaining general ledger entries
- Preparing and processing invoices, expense reports, and payments
- Supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Performing bank and account reconciliations
- Helping prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Assisting with audits by providing required documentation
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting regulations
- Maintaining organized financial records and documentation
- Supporting the CFO and members of the accounting team as needed
- Managing day-to-day office operations and administrative tasks
- Ordering and managing office supplies and inventory
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (internship or entry‑level experience is helpful but not required)
- Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace (G Suite)
- Familiarity with accounting or ERP systems (e.g., Quick Books, SAP, Oracle) a plus
- Willingness to learn proprietary systems (Jonas experience is a plus)
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
