Senior Accountant

Description

The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting core accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with financial reporting and close activities. In a mid-sized company, this role typically partners with accounting and finance teams to manage reconciliations, journal entries, general ledger analysis, and reporting while using Oracle to support day-to-day accounting workflows. Based on general knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

+ Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations. Based on general knowledge.

+ Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. Based on general knowledge.

+ Monitor general ledger activity and research account discrepancies. Based on general knowledge.

+ Prepare financial reports, schedules, and audit support documentation. Based on general knowledge.

+ Assist with fixed assets, intercompany transactions, and other accounting functions as needed. Based on general knowledge.

+ Help maintain compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. Based on general knowledge.

+ Use Oracle to enter transactions, reconcile accounts, generate reports, and support financial operations. Based on general knowledge.

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications

+ 3+ years of accounting or general ledger experience preferred. Based on general knowledge.

+

Experience with financial reporting, account reconciliations, and close processes. Based on general knowledge.

+ Experience using Oracle and Excel preferred. Based on general knowledge.

+ Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Based on general knowledge.
