Pay Range: $23 - $8 / hour

Dates of Camp: Regular Camp session is Monday, June 8, 2026 - Friday, August 7, 2026. Additional work available through Wednesday, August 12, 2026 for Post Camp.

The Job

Are you a great role model and love interacting with kids? If so, this might be the role for you! As the J Camp Program Assistant you will be responsible for assisting leadership in our camp program for grades K-8 while also helping Office staff with administrative tasks, customer service, inventory and supplies.

The Core Duties
  • Responsible for creating an efficient organization system that allows for coordinated purchasing, distributing and storing of all J-Camp supplies
  • Retain all receipts from J-camp purchases, making copies for reconciliation, and maintain the J-Camp receipt binder
  • Support the Camp Office with various administrative tasks as needed
  • Support Unit Leaders as needed
  • Step into ratio as a substitute counselor in a camper group if needed
  • Be a role model to campers and staff by maintaining a positive attitude in all situations
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety in all activities for campers and staff
The Essentials
  • At least 18 Years of age + High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Administrative office experience preferred
  • Customer Service experience preferred
  • One year of experience working with elementary/junior high school age children preferred
  • Certified in CPR for Children and Adults (or ability to obtain certification upon employment)
  • Ability to make sound independent judgment and decisions when circumstances arise
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work with tight deadlines
  • Extremely organized and able to work independently
  • Positive, upbeat and enthusiastic about working with children and communicating with parents
