Work Arrangement:This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement with a minimum of 3 days/week working at the Stanford main campus, subject to operational needs.
Budgeted Salary:The budgeted base salary range for this position is $29.87 to $35.26 per hour.

The School of Engineering Faculty Affairs Office is seeking an Academic Affairs Administrator to join our Faculty Affairs team. Reporting to the Director of Faculty Affairs, the Academic Affairs Administrator will support a broad range of administrative and transactional employment processes for several employee populations, including faculty, academic staff‑teaching, other teaching staff, postdocs, and graduate students. This includes supporting data entry, reporting, and a high volume of transactions related to appointments, promotions, sabbaticals, retirements, payments, and compliance.
You will be part of a collaborative team, working alongside colleagues in the faculty affairs, human resources, research administration and student services units. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, data‑savvy and collaborative, and have the ability to learn quickly, take initiative, and be comfortable working on projects and workflows using tools such as Smartsheet and Google Workspace.
- Process high volume HR transactions in the HCM system using standard operating procedures and university guidelines for multiple types of employment transactions, including hiring, personnel changes, and related activities.
- Input data, update electronic databases, web sites, and associated materials.
- Collect, gather and validate data, prepare and analyze basic reports.
- Provide administrative support for faculty affairs meetings and workshops.
- Draft and contribute to process documentation for both standard operating procedures and cross‑unit process improvement initiatives.
- Serve as subject matter expert and tester for systems, including but not limited to Sequoia/Oracle HCM, GFS, AARF, and FASED initiative.
