Job Description
DPR Construction is seeking motivated high school students to join our Build Up High School Internship in Construction Management. The internship offers hands‑on experience working side‑by‑side with a professional project team on an active commercial construction jobsite. Interns gain real‑world exposure to how multi‑million‑dollar buildings are planned, coordinated, and built.
Responsibilities- Assist with subcontractor coordination and communication
- Support document control and project tracking
- Participate in quality inspections and site walks
- Learn jobsite safety practices and participate in safety training
- Help update schedules, site plans, and project documentation
- Complete a variety of entry‑level construction management assignments, both alongside mentors and independently (exact responsibilities vary depending on the assigned project)
- Explore career and education pathways within construction management
- Set and reflect on personal goals through an 8‑week Capstone Project
- Develop communication, teamwork, and professional skills in a professional work environment
- Build confidence through presentations and project‑based learning
- Learn how to ask questions, receive feedback, and collaborate effectively as part of a team
Paid hourly internship. Anticipated pay range: $21.00 – $27.00 per hour.

Eligibility Requirements- Rising high school juniors or seniors, or May graduates
- Family income below HUD Median Family Income for your county
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Demonstrated interest in construction, engineering, or the built environment
- Ability to commit to an 8‑week internship, up to 40 hours per week
- Ability to commute to a jobsite daily
